KidCheck wins the Speed Pitch competition at Kickstand Boise

Twenty applicants. Ten invited to pitch. Ten judges, all with experience in the world of venture investing. 140 other startup businesses watching.
That was the environment at Thursdays Kickstand Boise Speed Pitch event. KidCheck won the event and recieved a $1000 gift certificate to use with Peppershock Media. "In the five times we've held this event, this is the first time we've had a unanimous decision" said Kevin Learned, one of the judges and member of the Boise Angel Alliance.
Alex Smith, CEO and Brad Hennessy COO presented to each judge individually in 5 minute intervals. Each judge then got 5 minutes to ask questions and to offer advise on how to improve the pitch. "It's a great, low pressure, environment for startups to practice their pitch and hear some great feedback from people with deep experience in the fund raising arena..." says Brad. "...a very valuable experience".
