I would be happy to answer your questions. We have about 1,200 kids check in using KidCheck each weekend at CBGlades. We use it at 2 campuses, one small & one very large. Last year, we had 3,000 different kids come through our doors to check in. We have over 11,000 kids in our system and 6,000 guardian accounts.
For the most part KidCheck is very user friendly, easy to setup, use, and get reports from. It’s ease of use is where it shines. However, if you’re looking for whole church database integration, it doesn’t currently do that. Those kinds of databases are great for managing every possible piece of information you can gather about your congregation, but also tend to be difficult to manage.
At a previous church where we used KidCheck, I made the decision to switch to the check in system that went with our whole church ChMS. I regretted it immediately. While a few of the features were arguably better than KidCheck, it was much more difficult to manage our families, groups, etc. So while there are positives of having all of your information shared, it is much easier to use a solution like KidCheck that does one thing and does it really well.
I have also always gotten great customer service from KidCheck. Anytime I’ve had an issue, they’ve helped me troubleshoot very quickly. They have also taken customer feedback and even some of my own suggestions and implemented them in the software and hardware they sell.
I have and will continue to recommend KidCheck to churches, daycare centers, kids’ museums, and anywhere else a computerized check-in solution is needed.
