Time-Sensitive: Microsoft Ending Windows 10 Support

We want to keep you updated on industry and technology news that may affect you. Therefore, we are sharing this important information to make you aware of an upcoming change with Microsoft and to provide some additional details.
Important Notification: Windows 10 official support from Microsoft stops on October 14, 2025.
What It Means: Microsoft will no longer provide security updates, bug fixes, and technical support to any computer that has Windows 10 as the operating system, which could leave devices vulnerable to new threats like viruses or hackers.
While Windows 10 will still function, the computer will be at greater risk from security threats and could become less stable over time as unresolved bugs accumulate.
While KidCheck should continue to work on a Windows 10 computer, and we will provide the best support possible, functionality will be completely dependent on Microsoft.
What Options are Available?
- It is free for eligible Windows 10 devices that meet Microsoft’s minimum system requirements
- To check if your computer is eligible select the Start button, then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and look for the upgrade option.
- Check out KidCheck’s check-in computer with Windows 11.
- This does require a paid annual subscription from Microsoft (up to three years for businesses, or one year for consumers).
- It only covers security updates, not new features, bug fixes, or tech support.
