YouthCheck – Now Even Better!
You asked and we listened. We’ve made improvements and now YouthCheck, the only check-in solution designed specifically for youth, is better than ever! We’ve removed some of the barriers associated with creating a YouthCheck account making youth check-in faster and easier.
Updates include:
Enable an Account at the Check-In Station
Not every young person has a phone or computer readily available to create an account ahead of time. Now, they can enable their account right at the check-in station.
Improved for Under 13 Years Old
Not all youth group members or those attending youth events are over 13. For kids under 13 years old, certain privacy acts and digital polices apply which must be followed. The improvements to YouthCheck meet those requirements, provide those under 13 with an option to check-in, and notify guardians.
Kids under 13 can check-in themselves, however they need a YouthCheck account enabled by a guardian or admin before their next visit. Upon check-in, an automatic notification is sent to the guardian to enable the YouthCheck account. Until their YouthCheck account is enabled, they can still check in but will be required to verify their information and provide guardian contact information every time at check in, which slows down the process.
Plus, for easy reference, there’s a new report for admins which lists anyone under 13 who has checked in that still needs their YouthCheck account enabled.
Added Flexibility
Now there’s more flexibility and options around YouthCheck account creation and checking in. Individuals can choose to use their phone number, guardian’s phone number, or use their user name to check-in. They also have a choice to associate a phone number with their YouthCheck account. They can if they have one and want to, but it’s not required. Additionally, it’s their choice to add a password or not. These options not only make check-in faster and easier but also give young people more control over their own information and what they want to share, or not.
