Bluetooth Scanner for Mobile Setup
The Bluetooth Scanner for Mobile can be synced with a tablet in order to make scanning via the mobile app even easier.
The following instructions will help you setup/sync the scanner to your device and change default settings.
Attaching to iOS Device:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth
- Push button on scanner then scan Disconnect barcode under “Getting Connected” of scanner documentation
- Scan the “BT mode – HID” barcode
- Tap the “Wireless Scanner” listed on the iPad.
- It will go through the pairing process, will become listed under “My Devices,” and will say “Connected.”
Attaching to Android Device:
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth
- Push button on scanner then scan Disconnect barcode under “Getting Connected” of scanner documentation
- Scan the “BT mode – HID” barcode
- Tap “Wireless Scanner” listed on the Android device
- It will go through the pairing process and become listed under “Paired Devices”
Changing Timeout Setting:
Note: The default timeout is set to three minutes. We’d suggest setting it to 60 minutes.
- Go to page 11 of Quick Guide scanner documentation
- Scan the “Set Minute” barcode
- Scan the desired minutes using the number barcodes on pages 9 and 10
- The permitted range is between 00 – 60
- Scan the “Set Minute” barcode again
You can do the same thing with seconds (range: 00 – 60) or scan the “No Timeout” barcode on page 11 to set the scanner to always be on.
Adjusting iOS Keyboard Toggle:
Note: You will likely need to enable the iOS hotkey on the scanner to turn on/off the iOS onscreen keyboard via the scanner.
- Connect the scanner to your iOS device
- Scan the “Enable iOS Hotkey” barcode on page 12 of the Quick Guide
- Once enabled, you can double-click the trigger of the scanner to toggle the iOS on-screen keyboard
