Moving kids up to the next grade level happens this time each year. It’s exciting transitioning to a brand-new class and meeting a new teacher. For many organizations, it’s a day of celebration, but for some parents, it can be confusing, especially if they’re new. So what’s the best way to manage the promotion process or move kids to the next grade level within the KidCheck system? KidCheck is designed to allow flexibility during the process and helps to determine when and who to promote.

You also need to inform parents to choose the new, correct location the next time they check-in their child. The most effective way to do this is by setting up a guardian notification. The guardian notification is effective because it immediately pops up when parents access their account at check-in and prompts them to take the required steps. If additional communication is needed, you can also utilize Broadcast Text Messaging or email.
If you’ve done all you can to educate and inform families of the promotion process, but a child continues to be checked in to the wrong location, you can use the Admin Console to fix the issue by simply changing the location yourself as an admin.
